Darling Chris

Last night, American viewers voted Chris Daughtry out of American Idol. It came as a shock to him, to Katharine McPhee, to Ryan Seacrest and the judges, and practically to everybody.
For those who do not watch American Idol, let me give you a brief background on Chris so you would have an idea why his elimination came as a nasty surprise.
One of the things you first notice when you watch him onstage is his presence. The guy is simply oozing with sex appeal… and that’s even before he opens his mouth. Chris Daughtry’s voice is probably one of the sexiest voices I’ve ever heard, although there were times when I felt that he was taking his rocker image too far (as what Simon Cowell aptly described as "overindulgence").
Over all, Chris was the most consistent performer in Idol. In each and every performance, you just knew that he worked hard on his songs… from his moves, the way he never forgot his lyrics, and the connection he made with the audience. He simply made the show sizzle.
Ironically, my favorite among Chris’s performances is "What a Wonderful World." There were mixed feelings in the audience, but I JUST LOVE IT. It showed that beneath the shouting and vocal exhibitions he truly has a voice to die for.
I do not believe that Chris Daughtry’s career ends here in American Idol. He has what it takes to be a star — talent, looks, perseverance. So I’m gonna keep my eyes peeled for this guy because, quoting Randy Jackson, "We got a hot one here!"
