The Essence of Me

I don’t know how to explain it. I just know that I felt both happy and sad yesterday. For one day, I had glimpsed the life I wanted but can never have.

My very close friends are worried that I’ll wait. Don’t worry, I won’t wait. I never did. But my philosophy is this: Why try to run away from something so beautiful? If it gives you comfort and warmth, why try to kill it?

I’m not waiting, because I’m smart enough to know there’s nothing to wait for.

I’m just letting it die a natural death.
