Cold and empty
Touch me and you will feel
my soul, a hard, cold marble.
The steady drip of rain
Falters, stutters, stops
Just like the sound of your voice
Fading into nothingness.
If only love is as easy as
Finding broken glass on the pavement.
The sun shines and they sparkle,
But your love is
Like catching a blue dragonfly
It teases, beckons, then
Just when I thought I have it in my hands
I freeze, you fly
Just like that. Gone.
And I wait for another summer,
Another spring.
Another sparkling pavement to hurt my feet.
I really should stop running after false stars
False hopes.
The rain tries but,
My Dear, you cannot comfort me this time.
