The Essence of Me

This post is actually for my friends who read my blog but don’t log in to their friendster account. (Ang tamad nyo!) These are from last Friday (Shammie Baptism), and Saturday morning (drink-’til-you-drop) at Party-A.

With Sam Santos, bassist and songwriter of Shamrock (I was tempted to just put him in my pocket and take him home.) Galing! And he’s so nice and humble.

After Shamrock’s gig, we headed back to Party-A for a drinkfest. That’s Bec, Iya, Sir John, JayR, and Moi.

I was actually awake for 37 hours last weekend. I woke up last Friday at 8am, went to work, went to Malate with the girls, headed back to Party-A, went home at 7ish Saturday morning, talked and had breakfast with Iya, went to Makati to meet my Kumare at 11am, met our other friends at 3pm, had dinner at 7pm, went home at 8, and read Roya Hakakian’s Journey from the Land of No until 9pm. Then I was out like a light. Woke up the next day at 10am, went to church, and just spent the rest of the day reading. I planned to jog that night ’cause I felt so heavy these past few weeks, but I was still just a few steps away from our gate when it started to rain. So much for exercise. So I changed, wrapped myself in my security blanket, and read like there’s no tomorrow.

It was a great weekend, all in all.
