When Sad Just Doesn’t Cut It

Crestfallen. Dejected. Despondent. Forlorn. Gloomy. Low.
Unfortunately, none of these words quite fit the way I’ve been feeling these past few days. Maybe it’s because I’m sick. Or maybe because I realized I no longer want my old job back. Or maybe because I’m missing someone so much that it’s almost a physical pain. Or maybe, the New Year used up all my energy and left me a hollow shell.
Well, since I’m already sad, I might as well wallow in it, right? Here are some of the things that make me feel even more wretched.
* Shamrock’s bassist and my crush, Sam Santos, is still recuperating.
* Pupil’s Ely Buendia is still in ICU.
* Reming wiped out about 600 people and almost 2B in properties in Albay, and the people in that region are barely recovering.
* UP will implement the 1k/unit tuition fee this coming semester.
* More that eleven months to go before I see him again, and still I can’t promise myself that I won’t wait.
* I promised I’d quit smoking this year, but I already smoked two lousy sticks. So much for discipline.
* I’m listening to techno right now, and I don’t like it, but I don’t have the will to get up and turn off the darn TV.
*** On the bright side, I just saw the video for Kamikazee’s Ambisyoso and it was positively hilarious! Love it.
