Sweet, Sweet Rest

Yesterday, I slept for sixteen hours. And it felt absolutely divine.
So today I woke up, ate breakfast while watching Sex and the City, took a long shower, took a walk, and felt the need to blog. Here I am, trying to organize my thoughts into one coherent entry.

My housemate-cum-landlady finally agreed to let me keep my puppy with me, instead of sending her off to live in Cabanatuan. Her one condition: I name the puppy Paouleen. I really wanted to name her Portia, but heck, if I get to keep her, i guess any name would do. So next Saturday, I’m finally meeting my baby. She’s a black Labrador pup, a birthday gift from my mom. I’m going to Olongapo next Saturday to pick her up. I’m just so excited!
Some of my friends wanted me to rethink getting a puppy, because it will be hard work taking care of her. I know all that, but I also think it will be worth it just to have someone to love. Someone you know who’d always love to see you and be with you. It’s time I have someone to take care of. I’m sure she and I will be the best of friends.
Although I’m still not happy about her name. When you name your dog after someone, do you have to ask for that person’s permission?

I’m hoping to have a productive day. So here’s a to-do list:
1. Sort my stuff and throw away the junk.
2. Do the laundry.
3. Get some paperwork done.
4. Go to church.
5. Do some ironing.
