Taking the Plunge

I wasn’t able to sleep last night. My mind kept coming back to my last conversation with him, on our way home. The things he said made perfect sense. He tries very hard to push me out of mediocrity, to be the best that I can be. There are times when I want to block out his words. He inspires and scares me at the same time. Striving to excel means going out of my comfort zone and taking risks. It means I would have to believe in myself more. It means arming myself against criticism. It means I would have to be brave.
He believes in me… and because of that, I’m beginning to believe in myself, too. So I’ll take the plunge and see where the tide takes me.
